Weekend Workout

Happy Saturday, y'all! If you are anything like me, your TV is tuned into college football right now.

Luke is just feeling crummy and teething like crazy so we are laying low this weekend after being gone the previous few weekends. Currently, I have laundry going, dinner in the crock pot and two sleeping babies (whoop!). In between folding/putting away laundry and taking care of two little boogers, I am planning on watching some big games this afternoon. Alabama vs. Ole Miss, Ohio State vs. Oklahoma and of course, the big one: Texas A&M vs. Auburn. :)

To make things even more interesting, I'm going to be doing a little BootyBall workout thanks to the girls of Tone It Up.

There you have it! Join me in working out to a great football game today. Depending on how the game goes, I might be VERY sore. Hey, no pain, no gain, right?

Have a great weekend and Gig 'Em Aggies! BTHO Auburn.

Week 2: 21 Day Fix Update

Ok, I honestly don't even want to put this out there because I feel like I'm not getting the results I want when I want them. I know it takes time, but I like to see that instant result. I just need to keep this picture in mind when I step on that scale and don't see any change!

This week, I stuck to the diet and workouts pretty well. Again, we went out of town for the weekend and it made it difficult to stick to eating healthy but I tried to make the best choices. I did indulge a little, but not too much that I felt like I fell off the wagon.

As of Monday, I lost 3 lbs from last week but only 1.5 inches. I was expecting to lose a few more inches in my waist and hips, but NOPE.

The past two days I have been taking the boys for a long walk in the morning before it gets too hot and they have loved it! I need to get back to the 21 Day Fix work outs...I realized I'm not as sore as when I first started out. Either I am just used to the soreness or I'm not working hard enough. I'm going to go with the first one. ;)

Time for that final push towards the finish line. Just 6 more days (and a few more to make up for slacking on the weekends!)

Thanks, Ryan. I think I will.

Football is Back (and 21 Day Fix Update)

Hallelujah it is the most wonderful time of the year again!

Fall, Football Season, Cooler Weather (eventually...), Holidays :)

Football season is back and I have completely embraced it this year- just like every year!

Last week, I participated in TWO fantasy football drafts, one of which we hosted at our house. This is the second year in a row we have had a good amount of people in our league (mostly college friends) come over and draft all together. We have food, drinks and just an all around good time catching up. Life sure has changed from college and instead of having ESPN on the TV, we had Baby Einstein going for Luke!
David and I dropped the boys off at my parents house on Friday and headed to College Station for the season opener for the Aggies. It was a pretty exciting game to start off the season. I guess the Aggies wanted us to lose a few months off of our lives because they had us stressed for a while there. In true Aggie form, they blew a 15 point lead in about 5 minutes in the 4th quarter to force us to go to overtime. Thankfully, our defense showed up and kept them out of the end zone in overtime and A&M won!
While it was nice to have a break from our two boys, I sure was missing them and was ready to get back to them yesterday. Thankfully, my family sent us plenty of pictures and updates on how they were doing. When we walked through the door to pick them up, Luke didn't seem like he missed us one bit!

21 Day Fix

Ok, y'all. I am gearing up for my first REAL round of 21 Day Fix.

I attempted to eat by the guidelines for 21 Day Fix at the beginning of August and did pretty well for the first week and a half but once I started seeing results, I started slacking.

I have less than four months to be able to fit in a bridesmaid dress and I'm ready to feel better about my "new mom" body.

I'm already preparing to have a few days in the 21 days I will be doing this to "slack off" thanks to football season (hello, tailgating!) gearing back up next week! This just means it will be more of a 26 Day Fix ;). I will still try my best to eat healthy but I won't beat myself up if I end up straying a bit.

I am posting this so I can keep myself accountable. I am planning on doing updates each week with progress and a recipe I have tried.

If anyone is interested in joining in on the fun, I would love to chat with you! I have purchased 21 Day Fix from Beachbody but honestly, you don't need to buy it in order to eat well. All the guidelines can be found if you just search "21 Day Fix" on Pinterest and on my 21 Day Fix board.

In regard to the workouts, I haven't been able to find the official 21 Day Fix workouts online (for free). I have debated even doing them, but instead following the Tone It Up workouts. They are usually pretty great and they have a weekly schedule all set out for you. You can find it here.

My goals for the first week on 21 Day Fix:
1. Drink lots of water!
2. Keep up with the workouts
3. Try 2 new recipes
4. Lose 3 lbs :)

Wish me luck!
